After nearly three decades in higher education administration, Ninette made a career change to massage therapy. She attended Cortiva Institute, graduating with honors. "My style of massage combines the various techniques I've learned, including Swedish, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular, Orthopedic, Shiatsu, Thai, and Reiki. I like to have the muscle tell me what technique it most needs at the moment. It always makes me smile when I feel a chronically tight muscle let go and know the client feels relief."
Ninette looks forward to expanding her knowledge of Shiatsu, Reiki, and medical massage as well as learning other styles. "There's such a wealth of information and research into the benefits of massage therapy that's exciting to learn. There's also the knowledge from other cultures such as traditional Chinese medicine and Lomi Lomi that really adds to the richness of our field."
Ninette is a licensed massage therapist in New Jersey and New York. She has presented sessions about computer workstation ergonomics at higher education administration conferences as well as other topics. She is a certified instructor for Sharqui, the Bellydance Workout.
